The scenery is totally magnificent,
reflecting a
land of unspoiled natural beauty. The Lindside/
Peterstown
area lies between two great fishing and recreational areas-- Bluestone
Lake to the north in Summers County, and Claytor Lake to the south in
VA. Both are an easy drive, as are such refreshing and stimulating
outdoor attractions as Pipestem State Park, Camp Creek State Forest,
Winter Place Ski Resort (all in WV), and the adjoining Jefferson
National Forest, which begins at the state line and spreads for miles
throughout the mountains of VA. Just a mile south of town is access to
the famous Appalachian Trail which runs from GA to ME.
